Tasks
- Plan and perform in vivo experiments in mouse models of metabolic disease.
- Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data.
- Contribute to manuscript preparation and scientific presentations.
- Co-supervise Master's and PhD students.
- The project will involve approximately 70% in vivo and 30% in vitro/ex vivo work.
Requirements
- PhD in biomedicine, neurobiology, neuroscience, neurophysiology or a closely related discipline, with demonstrated research experience in one or more relevant areas.
- Mouse handling and experimentation experience.
- Stereotaxic surgery and/or other relevant in vivo procedures.
- Research experience in systems neuroscience and/or energy homeostasis (i.e., feeding).
- Excellent command of oral and written English.
- Desirable: experience in vivo calcium imaging or ex vivo electrophysiology.
- Desirable: metabolic phenotyping.
- Desirable: FELASA B certificate (European authorization for animal experimentation).
- Highly motivated and scientifically curious.
- Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and able to contribute positively to a collaborative working environment.
