Tasks
- Act as a strategic advisor and sparring partner to the Area Head and Regional Leadership Team, shaping and delivering Pharma International’s long-term strategy.
- Guide optimal resource allocation and identify new business opportunities, translating operational decisions into enterprise-wide financial impact.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Middle East finance organization, fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and empowered decision-making.
- Mentor Affiliate Finance Managers and enable them to drive impact locally and within the wider finance community.
- Provide guidance and steer decisions to ensure P&L sustainability, financial integrity, and robust risk management across multiple affiliates.
- Apply entrepreneurial thinking to steer business priorities with clear financial guidance and oversee all financial governance and risk management processes.
- Champion the adoption of AI and financial technology to enhance predictive insights, simplify cross-border reporting, and increase transparency.
- Ensure high-quality compliance and robust governance of all Finance practices, maintaining a comprehensive view of the end-to-end value chain.
- Foster an inclusive environment and influence the broader finance community to share best practices among diverse, virtual teams.
- Lead effectively in volatile, uncertain, networked, and ambiguous environments by making sound decisions, managing risk, and maintaining clarity of vision.
- Drive change and transformational leadership across the region by embedding agile ways of working and focusing on high-impact, value-driven work through collaboration.
Requirements
- Proven track record as an experienced Finance Leader with the ability to architect and implement financial strategies that align with and accelerate enterprise-wide business goals.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or professional qualifications like CPA/CIMA preferred.
- Demonstrated interest and experience in coaching and developing other leaders.
- Experience living and working in more than one country, with a deep understanding of diverse cultural dynamics and international market shifts.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and influencing without authority, capable of articulating complex concepts to senior leadership and driving regional alignment.
- Learning agility to explore other functions, courage to challenge the status quo, and entrepreneurial spirit to navigate complex organizations.
- Effective communicator able to adapt communication style and messaging based on audience.
- Champion of digital trends, using a future-forward mindset to drive innovation and predictive decision-making.
- Willingness to travel 20% - 30% to the region.
