The UPS Repair Center Manager - Europe at ABB is responsible for leading and optimising UPS repair operations across the European service network, focusing on operational excellence, strategic business model definition, and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective repair services. This hybrid role contributes to the ELSP and involves close collaboration with European service managers, supply chain, product management, and engineering teams.
Tasks
- Lead repair operations and drive operational excellence through Lean and continuous improvement methodologies, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality UPS repair services across European locations.
- Define and implement scalable repair business models, pricing frameworks, and commercial processes aligned with European service strategy, including flat-rate pricing and exchange programmes.
- Collaborate with European Local Sales Organizations (LSOs), service management, supply chain, product management, and customers to ensure service excellence and resolution of complex escalations.
- Lead, motivate, and develop cross-functional repair centre teams while ensuring full compliance with HSE regulations and ABB's core values.
- Oversee workshop operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, cost-effective service.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent vocational technical education is required.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in service operations, repair management, or service business development, ideally with a UPS or power electronics background is required.
- Highly skilled in UPS systems, repair processes, and power electronics lifecycle management.
- Strong passion for operational excellence, strategic thinking, and leading cross-cultural teams across Europe.
- Proficiency in English and Italian is required; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
